RotaRod Enlargers and Complex Wheels
Enlargers and complex wheels for RotaRods to change the complexity of the experiment. Enlargers increase rod diameter and offer the option to change the surface from grooved to smooth. Complex wheels add complexity thanks to the asymmetrical and adjustable rungs which increase the test sensitivity and add a higher involvement of motor cortex and hippocampus.

To change the complexity of the experiment, sets of enlargers and complex wheels are available for all models of RotaRod.
Enlargers increase the diameter of the rod and offer the option to change to a smooth surface from a grooved one and can be easily added using magnetic fixings.
The complex wheel add-on introduces an additional complexity element for the animal to be tested thanks to the asymmetrical and adjustable rungs which increase the test sensitivity and add a higher involvement of motor cortex and hippocampus, as compared to the classic RotaRod test.
