Linton Instrumentation Grip Strength Meter (GSM)

The effect of drugs, toxins, muscle relaxants disease, ageing, or neural damage on muscle strength can be quantitatively assessed using this method.

The Linton Grip Strength Meter is available in three models, single sensor, dual sensor and ‘Dunnett’ Style.

  • The single-sensor model measures forelimb grip-strength.
  • The dual sensor model measures fore and hind-limb grip-strength by means of two independent sensors sensors, one located at either end of the instrument.
  • The Dunnett Style (after Professor Stephen Dunnett) measures grip strength from each forelimb independently, employing two sensors located at the same end of the instrument mounted side-by-side.

The effect of drugs, toxins, disease, nerve damage on muscle strength can be objectively and economically assessed using the Linton Grip-Strength Meter.
